Domaine des Remizières

France

Domaine des Remizières is a third-generation family estate in the Northern Rhône, in the Rhône Valley, run by Philippe Desmeure with his children Emilie, the winemaker, and Christophe, who manages the vineyards. Built up by Philippe from 1977 after Alphonse Desmeure had sold fruit to the local cooperative, the domaine farms across Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Hermitage and, in some sources, Cornas. It holds HVE Level 3 certification and follows careful sustainable farming, including hand harvesting, no herbicides, cover crops, green harvesting, low yields, minimal sulfur, and in some cuvées no fining or filtration. The range includes old-vine Hermitage bottlings and small-lot releases such as Autrement.
