Domaine de Montvac is a family-run estate in Vacqueyras, at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, founded in 1860 and passed from mother to daughter across generations. Cécile Dusserre now leads the domaine with her daughter Amélie Cartoux. The vineyards in Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Côtes du Rhône are farmed organically with Ecocert certification; herbicides and pesticides are prohibited, while soil work remains mechanical and vine training is done by hand. Hand harvesting, careful sorting, destemming and plot-specific attention guide the work. In the cellar, natural yeasts, gentle infusion and limited extraction preserve freshness and terroir, with reds generally fermented and aged in concrete tanks. The wines are known for precision, balance, finesse and an elegant interpretation of the southern Rhône.
