Domaine de Brin

France

Domaine de Brin is a generations-old family estate in Gaillac, in France’s Sud-Ouest, run and owned by farmer-winemaker Damien Bonnet. Its clay-and-limestone vineyards are cultivated organically, with permanent grassing between the rows and a focus on native Gaillac varieties. Manual harvesting and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts reflect a hands-on, minimal-intervention approach, complemented by low-sulphur practices. Wines are aged in a diverse range of vessels, including sandstone, terracotta, oak, concrete and stainless steel, and span sparkling, white, orange, rosé, red, sweet and “voile” styles. Damien began bottling in 2008, and the family continues to work together to maintain the estate.
