Château Vieux-Rivière

France

Established in 1982, Château Vieux-Rivière is a family-linked Bordeaux estate co-owned by Romain Rivière and located on the Néac Plateau opposite Pomerol. Its vineyards, including some Merlot parcels around 60 years old, lie in loamy gravel over ferruginous sandstone and clay. The estate has farmed organically since 2003, with grapes harvested manually into crates. Wines are vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks and aged for 12–18 months. The broader operation includes vineyards in Pomerol, Lalande-de-Pomerol, and Bordeaux Supérieur.
