Château du Clos de Vougeot is a historic Burgundian estate associated with the Cistercian Abbey of Cîteaux, whose monks established the famous walled Clos de Vougeot vineyard in the 12th century. Located in Vougeot, the château stands within the Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, the largest vineyard in the Côte de Nuits. Since 1944, it has been owned and managed by the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, serving as the brotherhood’s headquarters and as a site for visits, receptions and events connected with the Climats de Bourgogne UNESCO area. The château no longer produces wine itself; parcels are cultivated by producers including Domaine Faiveley, Domaine d’Eugénie, Jean Grivot and Laurent Ponsot.
