Château d’Escurac is a family-run Médoc estate in Bordeaux, owned by the Landureau family since 1934. Jean-Marc Landureau settled here in 1989, renovated the vineyard, made his first vintage in 1990, and led a long pursuit of precision that was recognized with the 1999 Cru Bourgeois Cup. Since his passing in 2017, his daughter Anne has continued his work. The estate is HVE 3 certified and follows integrated farming methods, with grass cover, careful canopy work, plot-by-plot green harvesting, and sorting in both vineyard and cellar. Its main vineyard lies on a gravelly rise overlooking nearby marshes. The wines, led by a Cabernet Sauvignon-based Grand Vin, are aged for 12 months in barriques, including a notable share of American oak, unusual in Bordeaux.
