Château d’Astros is a historic Maurel family estate in Vidauban, Provence, with eight centuries of vine cultivation. Its vineyards span two contrasting terroirs: mineral-rich alluvial soils near the Argens, yielding light, fresh and fruity wines, and clay-limestone soils that bring aromatic concentration and complexity. The estate practices organic and low-impact viticulture, emphasizing biodiversity, wildlife conservation and gentle methods that allow fruit and terroir to express themselves. Night harvesting helps preserve aromas in its rosés, the domaine’s principal focus, which range from fresh and light to more complex and aromatic. Managed by eighth-generation Bruno Maurel, Château d’Astros produces AOP Côtes de Provence and IGP Var wines, including organic cuvées.
