Founded in 1927, Cava Guilera is a family-run winery in Lavern, Subirats, in the Penedès near Barcelona. Now led by the Guilera family, it focuses exclusively on long-aged Reserva and Gran Reserva Cava, with a philosophy of “Slow Life Cava,” quality, and singularity. Its certified organic, dry-farmed vineyards support biodiversity through sheep grazing, green pruning, traditional tree planting, and wild-grass gardens, while photovoltaic energy and circular practices reinforce its sustainability. The wines are made without barrel ageing, flavourings, or special liqueurs, emphasizing grapes, time, and fine bubbles. They are described as smooth, harmonious, elegant, and increasingly fruity and complex with age. The winery also expresses its social and creative commitments through inclusive Braille design, artist collaborations, and cultural projects among the vineyards.
