Casa de Vilacetinho is a family-owned estate in Alpendurada, overlooking the River Douro in the Amarante sub-region of Vinho Verde. Founded in 1790, it was among the region’s first producers, with winemaking experiments beginning in 1957. Its vineyards lie on predominantly south-facing granitic soils, with viticulture central to the estate’s identity. Farming follows Integrated Production certification and is herbicide-free, reflecting a stated commitment to sustainability. Avesso forms the base of the wines, which are described as full-bodied, balanced and elegant, alongside a broader range of red, white, rosé, sparkling and dessert styles. The family has operated the estate for over five decades, with winemaking led by José Manuel Antunes, Fernando Moura and António Sousa.
