Bucklin – Old Hill Ranch is a family-owned Sonoma Valley estate rooted in a vineyard founded in 1851 and purchased by Otto and Anne Teller in 1981. Today, the four Bucklin siblings operate the ranch and produce field-blended wines exclusively from its own historic vines. The Ancient block brings together more than 30 grape varieties, harvested and fermented together, while the vineyard’s varied sites reflect alluvial red clay and volcanic soils. Farming follows the Tellers’ conservationist legacy, with organic, predominantly dry-farmed practices, cover crops, compost, and no herbicides. The wines are made with a low-intervention philosophy intended to express the vineyard’s place and history.
