Broglia is a historic, family-owned estate in Gavi, Piedmont, founded when Bruno Broglia purchased the La Meirana property in 1972. Now in its third generation, Roberto and Filippo Broglia oversee the winemaking. The estate manages 100 hectares of vineyards, with 65-70 hectares dedicated to the Cortese grape at altitudes of 250-300 meters. Annual production is substantial at around 720,000 bottles, predominantly Gavi DOC/DOCG. The philosophy emphasizes quality through low yields (30-40 q/ha), green harvest, and clonal research in collaboration with the University of Turin. Winemaking utilizes temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and sur-lie aging. The estate has received significant critical acclaim and awards for its wines.
