Bodegas Aquitania is a privately owned winery in the Salnés sub-zone of Rías Baixas, established through the initiative of viticulturist and businessman M. Aquin as the appellation developed. The winery focuses on Albariño from scattered vineyards on granitic soils, including some vines more than a century old. Vines are trained using traditional pergola and Guyot systems, and the estate practices sustainable viticulture while avoiding chemical treatments, without citing formal certification. Winemaking is led by technical director José Manuel Amigo, an Albariño specialist. Its wines reflect the region’s traditional vineyard practices and modern winery approach.
