Family-owned Azienda Agricola Zaccagnini has been making representative wines of the Marche since 1973, with Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico at its core. Its vineyards lie in the Marche hills at 450 metres, on marine-origin soils, and are managed through certified organic, eco-sustainable farming. Grapes are hand-harvested in crates and processed quickly at the adjacent winery, while a philosophy of minimal intervention combines tradition with innovation. The range includes Verdicchio, Rosso Conero, Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, Passerina, Pecorino, Rosso Piceno, and both Metodo Classico and Charmat sparkling wines. Careful vineyard work, pronounced acidity, and judicious use of steel and oak produce structured, sapid wines with notable ageing potential, including top vintages capable of developing for more than 20 years.
