Weingut Weigand

Germany

Andi Weigand is a family-owned estate in Iphofen, Franconia, led by second-generation winemaker Andi Weigand, who took over the winery from his father in 2018. Founded in 1990, the domaine is run by Andi, his father, and two apprentice winemakers, with family and friends helping at harvest. The vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, farmed without irrigation, with cover crops, wild grasses, and hand-harvesting. In the cellar, Andi follows a low-intervention approach using native yeasts, basket pressing, fermentation in traditional oak casks and also stainless steel, with the wines bottled with zero added sulfites, unfined and unfiltered.
