Muralia

Italy

Muralia is a small, family-run estate in Roccastrada, in Tuscany’s high Maremma, founded and run by Chiara and Stefano Casali. After falling in love with the region, they transformed an old farmhouse into the winery and Il Poggiarello agriturismo, which offers accommodation, a restaurant and wine tours. The estate farms Sangiovese and Syrah organically across vineyards on calcareous, stony and clay-rich soils, including the Vigna di Augusto, Monte Morioni and Babone sites. The winery is built into a hillside and discreetly integrated into the landscape behind an old stone wall. Muralia’s approach emphasizes sustainable agriculture, respect for traditional values and wines intended to express the character and minerality of the land.
