Mitre’s Edge is a boutique wine estate in Paarl, South Africa’s Cape Winelands, producing Bordeaux-style flagship wines alongside a premium range. Its farming follows the Integrated Production of Wine guidelines, with scientifically managed irrigation, recycling of household and winery waste, and solar power generation. Since 2024, the estate has also introduced regenerative practices such as hay mulching between vineyard rows to support soil health and biodiversity while reducing reliance on synthetic inputs. The wines include the Sholto red, noted for its rich garnet colour, Christmas-cake aromas, soft black fruit and balanced tannins. Tastings, including wine-and-cheese pairings, are offered by prior booking.
