Producer

Joseph Burrier

France

Joseph Burrier is a family-owned Burgundy producer with five centuries of history and 17 generations of Burrier stewardship. Its five estates span the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, including Château de Beauregard, Domaine Georges Burrier, Château du Clos, Domaine de la Rochette, and Domaine Joseph Burrier. The family remains closely involved, with Joseph Burrier and his brother Georges overseeing the wines. Sustainability is central to the estate’s development: Château du Clos is organically certified, while Château de Beauregard and Domaine Joseph Burrier are in organic conversion. The portfolio reflects a broad range of appellations and terroirs, including crystalline soils for the La Verchère cuvée.
