Gil Family Estates

Spain

Gil Family Estates is a fully family-owned Spanish wine group founded in 1916 by Juan Gil Jiménez and now led by fifth-generation brothers Miguel and Ángel Gil Vera, with the wider family actively involved. Based in Aragón and present across multiple Spanish D.O.s, the family works with old vines, native grape varieties and a strong focus on terroir. Their approach blends traditional farming heritage with modern winemaking and rigorous quality control, while preserving ungrafted and centenarian vineyards where they exist. Sustainability is a stated priority, with major organic farming efforts and a goal of fully organic viticulture. Across the group, the wines emphasize authenticity, site expression and the character of Spain’s diverse regions.
