Château Saint‑Pierre

France

Château Saint-Pierre is a family-owned estate in Violès, in the southern Rhône Valley, producing wines from Vacqueyras, Sablet, Plan de Dieu and Côtes du Rhône. The Fauque family—Jean-François, Philippe and Jean—continues traditions passed down through several generations, vinifying the entire harvest and bottling at the estate. Its vineyards include old vines and are planted mainly to Grenache, with Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan and southern Rhône white varieties. Farming is described as environmentally friendly and integrated, with careful plot-by-plot harvest decisions. Mediterranean sunshine, the Mistral and clay-limestone or stony soils shape the wines, while reds receive several months’ cask ageing before blending and bottling.
