Château Kirwan

France

Château Kirwan is a family-owned Margaux estate, held by the Schröder & Schÿler family since 1926 and overseen today by the Schÿler siblings, continuing a long Bordeaux négociant tradition. Classified as a 3ème Cru Classé in 1855, the property is rooted in Kirwan’s historic gravel-and-clay terroir, which is described as giving the wines Margaux finesse, freshness and a velvety texture. The estate reports an eco-responsible, reasoned organic approach, with HVE3 and ISO 14001 certification, and notes the use of organic pathways and natural treatments. In the cellar, the style is precise and non-interventionist, focused on faithful expression of the terroir.
