Ca' di Mat

Spain

Ca' di Mat is a boutique family-run estate in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Sierra de Gredos, in Madrid, led by Curro Bareño, Jesús Olivares, Paolo Armando and Victoria Serrano. The organically certified vineyards are dry-farmed, hand-harvested and goblet trained, with 30- to 80-year-old Garnacha and Albillo vines located within protected ZEPA and Natura 2000 areas. Their approach is firmly low-intervention, from sustainable farming to spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, concrete fermentations, hand-separation of must and long macerations. The result is an artisanal project rooted in old vines, protected landscapes and hands-on family farming.
