Bodegas Cepa 21 is a family-owned Ribera del Duero project in Castilla y León, led by third-generation brothers José and Javier Moro. Based on more than 100 years of winemaking tradition, the estate works with Tempranillo from the family’s own Moro clone, planted across hillside vineyards at different altitudes on the Milla de Oro. According to the notes, these sites are chosen for later ripening, helping preserve freshness while achieving concentration, with lower vineyards contributing freshness and higher parcels bringing balance and distinct character. The winery is described as modern and minimalist, with an avant-garde approach and a focus on contemporary styles. José Moro serves as owner and lead winemaker.
