Bodega Urqo

Argentina

Family-owned Bodega Urqo brings the Urquía name together with Mendoza’s Valle de Uco, cultivating vineyards in Los Chacayes and Tupungato, including high-altitude sites with poor alluvial, sandy and stony soils. Led by young Uruguayan winemaker Leo Pisano, with consultant Daniel Pi involved, the winery works from a minimalist facility focused on terroir expression. Urqo practices organic viticulture, with certification pending for some labels, and holds sustainability certification validated by Bureau Veritas Argentina, emphasizing renewable energy and people-centred values. Its Los Durmientes, Palo Santo and Urqo ranges focus on Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, combining Uco Valley freshness, refined tannins and modern, low-intervention winemaking.
