Azienda Vinicola Farina

Farina is a historic, family-owned winery with over 100 years of history in the Valpolicella Classica region, now led by the fourth generation. The estate cultivates roughly 65 hectares, with 10 ha owned directly and the rest sourced from long-term partner growers. A deep commitment to sustainability defines their approach: in the vineyard, they practice no chemical weeding, use 'sexual confusion' to limit pesticides, and employ Simonit & Sirch pruning. In the winery, they have eliminated chemical detergents, use photovoltaic panels covering 80% of bottling energy, and employ automated climate control in their drying lofts. They blend tradition with innovation, using both classic large oak casks and modern concrete and ceramic vessels.
