Producer

Artadi

Spain

Artadi is a family-owned producer based in Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa, with ownership in the Lacalle and Laorden families and active involvement from Juan Carlos López de Lacalle and his children. Founded in 1985, the estate is rooted in the viticultural traditions of the region while focusing closely on the identity of each vineyard and parcel. Its vineyards around Laguardia and Elvillar de Álava span diverse soils, and the estate farms organically with no synthetic fertilizers or chemicals. After a long conversion begun in 2002, Artadi adopted certified organic labeling from the 2016 vintage. The winery emphasizes biodiversity, healthy soils, landscape preservation, and wines that express clear origin, terroir, and the personality of each site.
