Andrea Felici is a fourth-generation family estate in Apiro, Marche, run by Leopardo (Leo) Felici. Working in the high-elevation Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi hills near Monte San Vicino, the estate farms organically, with biodynamic and sustainable practices, hand-harvesting and close attention to every stage in the vineyard and cellar. Its limestone-clay soils, cool microclimate and pronounced temperature ranges support fresh, mineral, ageworthy whites. The winery produces only two Verdicchio wines: a single-vineyard Cru and a Cuvée. Fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel and vitrified cement, without oak, often with extended lees ageing to preserve freshness, typicity and vineyard character. Leo’s aim is to make distinctive wines of longevity and personality that express Apiro’s terroir.
