Weinmanufaktur Frey

Germany

Frey is a four-generation family winery in Ober-Flörsheim, in Rheinhessen’s Wonnegau, with grapegrowing roots reaching back to the 18th century. Philipp and Christopher Frey work alongside their father Stefan, overseeing the process from vineyard to bottling. Since 2013, the vineyards have been farmed according to EU organic guidelines, with selective hand-picking and gentle transport and pressing. The estate’s limestone, loess and clay soils support Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Wines are made with near-natural, native-yeast fermentation and matured in large oak, barriques or stainless steel, emphasizing fully ripe aromas and a distinctive Frey style.
