Producer

Vinyer de la Ruca

France

Vinyer de la Ruca is an independent, micro-scale producer in Banyuls-sur-Mer in Roussillon, run by sole proprietor Manuel di Vecchia Staraz. Working from the shared Le Neuf Cave cellar, Manuel makes very small-batch natural wines from parcels around Banyuls-sur-Mer, including a single-plot Carignan and Grenache for Ellittico. The estate is certified organic and follows organic viticulture, with a natural-wine approach and no added sulfur. The wines have attracted a cult following, reflecting the producer’s artisanal, highly limited production and focused, hands-on identity.
