Valade is a family-owned Saint-Émilion estate based in Belvès-de-Castillon, managed by Paul Valade with the involvement of Lorette and Cédric Valade. Its clay-limestone vineyards are planted mainly to Merlot, with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc, and the vines average around 30 years old. The family produces Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines through traditional methods, including manual harvesting, with a hands-on, small-scale approach.
