Two Hands

Australia

Two Hands is a South Australian producer based in Marananga, Barossa Valley, founded in 1999 by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz and now run by proprietor Pierre-Henri Morel. It operates largely as a négociant, sourcing most fruit through long-term grower relationships across six Australian regions, while also farming estate vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valleys. Shiraz is central to the house style, with a strong focus on regional expression and the belief that great wines are made in the vineyard. Sustainability is a major part of the estate approach: the winery is certified under the Australian Wine Industry Standard of Sustainable Practice and uses hand-pruning and picking, straw mulch, organic compost, cover crops, solar power, and on-site beehives. Its range spans regional, single-vineyard, and tightly selected flagship wines.
