Producer

Thierry Drouin

France

Founded by Thierry Drouin in 1981, this family-run estate is based in Vergisson, in Burgundy’s Mâconnais, amid the limestone terroirs of Solutré-Pouilly-Vergisson. Thierry’s son Charles-Édouard now continues the domaine’s work, alongside the Collovray & Terrier family since 2021. The vineyards span Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon-Villages and Viré-Clessé, with wines described as elegant, expressive, mineral and terroir-driven. Farming emphasizes living soils and biodiversity: rows are generally ploughed rather than sprayed, no insecticides or herbicides are used, and sulphur or copper is applied only when needed. Yields are controlled through manual work, while cellar interventions are kept gentle to preserve fruit purity and the distinct character of each limestone site.
