Te Kano is a family-owned estate in Central Otago, New Zealand, founded by Californian-born Rhonda Lloyd and her New Zealand partner. The estate operates four vineyards across the region, totaling roughly 100 hectares, with a focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris. Sustainability is central to their philosophy, driven by regenerative organic practices, native plant regeneration (including extensive Kōwhai propagation), and invasive species clearing. While two vineyards are organically certified, the estate as a whole is not formally labeled. The family is dedicated to cultural heritage preservation and a legacy-focused vision, ensuring quality control from vineyard to glass through their own winery and bottling line.
