Scarlett Wines is a family-owned, limited-production estate winery in Rutherford, Napa Valley, rooted in the McGah family’s fourth generation of wine growing. The family’s Alsace and Heritage vineyard estates are managed with a precision-focused approach, producing Cabernet Sauvignon and specialized varietal expressions including Rutherford Petit Verdot. Sherratt Reicher oversees the family’s winemaking endeavors, while Mike Smith serves as winemaker, bringing a hands-on, purist style focused on balancing power with refinement. The winery began with a small lot of Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2006 harvest and continues to emphasize estate-grown wines, careful barrel selection, and specialized fermentation techniques such as open-top fermentation for Petit Verdot.
