Weingut Lorenz

Weingut Lorenz is a family-owned Mosel winery in Detzem, established in 1727 and developed from a mixed farm into a dedicated wine estate. Tobias Lorenz took over from his parents in 2013. The family farms steep and extremely steep Mosel slopes with handcrafted, environmentally conscious methods supported through the EULLE/ELER program. Its wines aim to express their vineyard and vintage, combining Mosel slate minerality with a delicate, layered style and moderate alcohol. Winemaking emphasizes time: gentle pressing, natural-yeast fermentation, and extended lees aging. The family began producing dry wines in the 1970s, ahead of the prevailing fashion.
