Tortoise Creek

United States

Founded in 1997, Tortoise Creek is a collaborative Mendocino, California project of the Sager and Master families. The brand works with independent vineyard partners and uses certified-organic grapes, with farming practices including cover crops, composting, integrated pest management, and freshwater ponds for frost protection and irrigation. Its wines are handcrafted and small-batch, selected and blended with growers who share a sustainable approach. Tortoise Creek is also a 1% for the Planet member, donating at least 1% of annual sales to environmental organizations supporting tortoise and turtle conservation.
