Tenuta San Jacopo

Italy

Tenuta San Jacopo is a historic, family-run estate in Tuscany, straddling the Chianti and Valdarno regions. The property spans 130 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, and woods centered around an 18th-century villa. Since its acquisition by the Cattaneo family in 2002, the estate has been carefully restored with a vision to blend tradition and modern entrepreneurship. It is fully organic, having begun conversion in 2004, and focuses on expressing the local terroir through Sangiovese and other native varieties. The winemaking emphasizes minimal intervention, using indigenous yeasts and traditional methods. The estate also produces olive oil and grappa, and operates an agriturismo, deeply embedding itself in the Tuscan landscape and lifestyle.
