San Patrignano is a community-owned and operated social agricultural cooperative in Coriano, Rimini, founded in 1978 as part of a rehabilitation community. Its young members participate throughout the process, from vineyard work to bottling, while wine sales help support the community’s self-sustaining work. The vineyards lie on the hills near the Adriatic Sea and Mount Titano, where sea breezes, mountain influences, high light levels and limestone-rich clay soils shape the wines. The range includes Sangiovese, international red varieties, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, rosé and sparkling wines. Winemaking is led by Luca D’Attoma, with an emphasis on expressing the local identity of Sangiovese alongside environmental and social sustainability, animal welfare and training.
