Poggio le Volpi

Italy

Poggio Le Volpi is a family-owned estate in Lazio’s Alban Hills, rooted in the Mergè family and now overseen by third-generation Felice and Armando Mergè. Its vineyards lie on the volcanic, mineral-rich soils of Colli Albani, within an estate that emphasizes preserving the natural ecosystem and local microclimate, though no formal sustainability certifications are reported. Winemaking is directed by consultant Riccardo Cotarella, supported by his daughter Dominga. The wines reflect a Lazio setting shaped by volcanic soils and the estate’s family stewardship.
