Producer

Luciano Sandrone

Italy

Founded by Luciano Sandrone in 1978, this family-run estate in Piedmont’s Barolo region is a benchmark for elegant, terroir-driven Nebbiolo. With over 50 harvests of experience, the family farms 27 hectares in Langa and Roero, focusing on native varieties like Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Their philosophy emphasizes respect for the land, organic practices (though not certified), and minimal intervention, aiming to express each vintage’s unique character. The winery remains deeply hands-on, with Luciano, his brother Luca, daughter Barbara, and the next generation involved in all aspects. Iconic wines include the Cannubi Boschis Barolo and the Valmaggiore Nebbiolo, with a dedicated 'sibi et paucis' project for extended aging. Sustainability and a profound connection to their vineyards define this authentic, artisanal producer.
