Producer

Iole Rabasco

Italy

Iole Rabasco is a family-run artisanal producer in Pianella, Pescara, in Abruzzo, owned and operated by Iole Rabasco, who left a legal career in the early 2000s to take over the family vineyard. She manages both farming and winemaking, working with biodynamic and organic, chemical-free practices focused on ecological preservation, without synthetic inputs in the vineyard or cellar. Grapes are hand-picked, and the wines are made in a low-intervention style with spontaneous fermentation, no fining or filtration, no added sulfur, and aging in classic demijohns. The estate works mainly with Montepulciano and Trebbiano from old vines on clay-limestone soils.
