Frederiksdal is a Danish cherry-wine producer on Lolland, founded and owned since 2006 by Harald Krabbe, Morten Brink Iwersen and Jan Friis Mikkelsen. It works exclusively with Stevnskirsebær cherries from its own plantations, including organically certified Johannesmark, with low yields, late harvesting and mechanical weed control supporting its sustainable approach. Frederiksdal ferments cherries using traditional grape-wine methods rather than blending juice, sugar and alcohol, with wines matured in glass and French oak, including sur lie, vintage blends and Solera-aged bottlings. Its range spans still, sparkling and fortified cherry wines, from the fruity Vintage to the dry, oak-aged Reserve and Madeira-inspired Rancio. The wines have received critical recognition and are served at Michelin restaurants worldwide.
