Producer

Erste Neue

Italy

Erste + Neue is a cooperative winery in Caldaro (Kaltern) in Alto Adige, formed from the merger of the historic Erste and Neue cellars and later joined by a third cooperative. It brings together many small growers working terraced, high-altitude vineyards shaped by South Tyrol’s mountain landscape. The estate follows organic farming practices and is certified FAIR’N GREEN for sustainable viticulture, with a focus on biodiversity, environmental protection and social responsibility. Working with typical Alto Adige varieties, the cellar team led by Gerhard Sanin emphasizes hand-picked fruit and gentle, unhurried vinification. The wines are defined by alpine freshness, elegance, minerality and aromatic complexity.
