Domaine La Tour Penedesses is a family-owned estate in Faugères, Languedoc, owned and run by artisan vigneron and oenologist Alexandre Fouqué since 2000. With vines documented on the site since the 16th century, the domaine farms predominantly hillside vineyards organically, certified since 2004, and has been transitioning toward biodynamic practices since 2012. Its varied terroirs include schist, limestone, sandstone and volcanic rock, with contrasting exposures and microclimates. Alexandre adapts planting to these conditions, including Mourvèdre on warmer south-facing slopes and Syrah on cooler northern slopes. Hand harvesting, careful grape selection, natural fertilizers and limited yields support expressive AOP Faugères, AOP Languedoc-Pézenas and IGP wines.
