Damiano Ciolli is a family-owned estate in Olevano Romano, Lazio, where Damiano Ciolli and his partner, enologist Letizia Rocchi, have run the vineyards and cellar since 2001. Building on a family tradition spanning at least three generations, they focus on the indigenous Cesanese grown on volcanic soils in hillside vineyards near this medieval village southeast of Rome. Farming follows organic, biodynamic and regenerative principles, with green manure, low yields and close attention to soil fertility, though no formal certification is mentioned. In the cellar, they favor spontaneous fermentations, no additives and a minimal-intervention approach, aiming for Cesanese wines with freshness, finesse, elegance and drinkability.
