Sicilia Rosso

Clara and Annamaria Sala run Tenuta Gorghi Tondi, a family-owned, women-run estate in Mazara del Vallo, Sicily. Set on limestone-sand soils within a WWF-protected bird sanctuary, the estate is certified organic, banning synthetic chemicals and GMOs, and uses clean energy to support biodiversity. The sisters are both winemakers, overseeing hand-harvested grapes and natural fermentation. Their estate, which split from historic Cantine Pellegrino, continues a family legacy begun by their great-grandmother Dora in the early 1900s.
