Catch & Release Wines is a boutique California natural wine producer founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife owners and operators Beno and Monica Stewart. They work with growers practicing organic, biodynamic, and regenerative farming, sourcing fruit from vineyards in Mendocino, the Santa Cruz Mountains, and other underrecognized California regions. Their wines emphasize simplicity, delicacy, and acidity, with native fermentations, minimal and deliberate sulfur use, and no fining or filtration. The project is both a creative outlet and a way to support conscious farming, producing serious wines without taking themselves too seriously. A Fair Trade Chardonnay adds an ethical dimension to the range.
