Bodegas El Nido is a family-run estate in the highlands of Jumilla, Murcia, owned by the Gil family as part of Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares and working in partnership with Australian winemaker Chris Ringland. In this high-altitude, arid setting, the estate focuses on old-vine Monastrell alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, farmed with low-yield, low-intervention methods. Notes describe the vineyards as organic and biodynamic, with an emphasis on precision viticulture and sustainable farming. The winery’s style is shaped by Ringland, with Miguel Gil also noted in the winemaking leadership.
