Founded in 2010 by the Alves family of the Riberalves Group, AdegaMãe is a family-owned winery in Torres Vedras, in Lisbon’s Atlantic-influenced West. Its vineyards lie near the ocean on predominantly clay-limestone soils, with sea breezes contributing to wines marked by freshness, minerality, elegance and salinity. The estate is certified under Sustainable Winegrowing Portugal and focuses on Portuguese varieties alongside selected international blends. Winemaking is led by Diogo Lopes, with consultancy from Anselmo Mendes, whose work emphasizes regional expression. Created to celebrate the viticultural heritage of the Oeste, the winery combines production with distinctive architecture and wine tourism, including tastings, courses and food pairings. Its range includes Atlantic-inspired wines and single-vineyard bottlings, including Vital Vinhas Velhas from a 40-year-old vineyard in Montejunto.
