Romano Winery

Italy

Romano Winery is a family-run Sicilian producer based between Palermo and Trapani, with vineyards and facilities in western Sicily. The Romano family has cultivated vines for generations, with documented activity dating to 1890 and the winery established in the mid-1980s. Its approach combines respect for nature with agronomic expertise, supported by Organic and Biodynamic certifications. Vineyard work includes increased planting density and reduced bud counts to promote grape quality. The winery grows native varieties including Nero d’Avola, Catarratto, Grecanico, Perricone, Moscato and Nerello Mascalese, alongside international grapes. Modern cellar practices include gentle crushing, cryomaceration for whites, temperature-controlled fermentation and oak aging for selected wines.
