Toro Albala is a family-owned winery in Montilla-Moriles, Andalusia, with origins dating to 1844 and formally established in 1922 at a repurposed power station. Now led by third-generation owner Antonio Sánchez Romero, an oenologist and innovator, it produces around 300,000 bottles annually from about 6,000 barrels, with 30% of grapes from estate vineyards and the rest sourced from growers. Vineyards are dry-farmed without chemicals, following organic-style practices, though without formal certification. The winery emphasizes traditional, vintage-focused winemaking, particularly with Pedro Ximénez, and is known for its aged releases and artisanal approach.
